Colossians: A new look at relationships (Feb 8th)

If your family had to describe you in three words, what would they be?

Read Colossians 3:18-4:1
Jesus
In pairs rewrite Paul's challenge to each family member. (Wives, husbands, children and fathers.) Share these in the group.

Has Paul got the advice right?

If society as a whole followed Paul's advice, how might society be different? Be specific - pick a relationship.

What would the opposite of Paul's advice look like in society? Be specific.

If you could grow one relationship (marriage, friend, family), which one would it be and how would you develop it?

How would Paul's advice for employees (slaves), and employers (masters) affect the work place if enacted today.

Take some time to reflect in silence on your relationship. Are they consistent, or do you have a different face for each place? Are you modelling Christ like relationships?

Invite people into a period of open prayer, creating a safe space for people to make confession if needed.
