Bereavement
Bereavement visiting/Horizon
When we either take a funeral or hear of someone losing a loved one, the bereavement team follows up with a phone call offering a visit. As time passes we send a card on the first anniversary of the death as well as an invite to the annual bereavement service. So often, it’s the call or the contact that people are so pleased to have, to know someone cares for them and that we will listen unconditionally. Out of the visiting grew Horizon, a monthly support group for those who have been bereaved later in life, it offers a time to chat with others and regain confidence, stability and hope.
